DR. JAMIE BURR, Exercise Physiology Prof. Burr is currently working with the Speed River and Guelph Gryphons Track and Field teams which sees him training and testing elite athletes/Olympians. He is director of the Human Performance & Health Research Lab at U of G. 

 

DR. TRENT STELLINGWERFF, Exercise Physiologist & Performance Nutrition Stellingwerff has been with Speed River since 2004. During that time he has had an array of roles with the club including athlete, coach and now consultant. Dr. Stellingwerff is the Innovation and Research Lead for the Canadian Sport Institute in Victoria. 

KYLE BOORSMA, Exercise Physiologist & Assistant coach - Kyle's role with the club is being a lead exercise physiologist and works in the field with athletes to monitor and optimize performance metrics. Kyle also works as a hand on endurance coach with our NEXTGen athletes and is currently pursuing his Performance Coach Certification.

ERIK SESBRENO, Nutrition Erik has joined Speed River as part of a sponsorship with CSIO, B2Ten and Athletics Canada. Sesbreno is a Sports Dietitian who assists with nutritional consults for our athletes. DR. MARCO LOZEJ, Chiropractor Lozej joined the Speed River team in 2014. 

JORDAN FOLEY, Strength and Conditioning Jordan is head strength and conditioning coach for the Guelph Gryphons football team, and has worked with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Canadian Basketball Senior Women’s National Team. Foley is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and NCCP Track and Field Coach.
